User Reviews for Reel Toys 18 Inch Light-Up Eyes Poseable Action Figure Termi

Very Tall
This is a good toy for just staring at it, dont for using or playing just for seeing (if you guys knows what I mean). Its very realistic and I put it on a corner of my room together with my other collectibles.
Cool Action Figure but Feels Cheaply Made
This action figure is fairly big and has a lot of details. According to the one I received and other reviews and pictures I\'ve seen, the head, jaw, and several of the hydraulic cylinders(made from plastic of course) are bent. The ones pictured on the covering box also have bent cylinderes. The arms are really flexable, but the neck, hip, and legs can barely be moved. The movement of the hip and legs are restrained by the cylinders, but I\'m not sure why the neck is so stiff. Compared to the 18 inch Robocop figure of the same price also released from NECA, this figure feels cheaply made probably because there are more moving parts and details on this one. Nonetheless, it\'s a cool collectable for those that like The Terminator.
Big \'n\' scary... and kewl
I got one of these as an early Christmas gift from a fellow sci-fi-cinema fanboy get-a-lifer. I found this bad boy to be one of those collectible movie tie-in toys that simply begged to be released from the package and put on display for all of my geekin\' fanboy buddies to see and admire... so I did. And I\'m glad I did so, `cuz he looks pretty danged impressive as he towers over the battle-damaged RoboCop action figure (www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000AX24RE) to his right and the Japanese edition 20th anniversary Optimus Prime toy (www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0001206P6) in front of him. Sure I hadda drop the top shelf of my collectibles case down a couple notches to accommodate its enormous stature, but in the end it was worth the effort.

Also impressive are the fine details and intricate sculpting, which rivals that of McFarlane Toys\' 6-inch version from a few years back... except for the hands and feet, which could have used slightly more extensive detailing, or at least a decent paint wash to give it the look of having more detail. I\'m not too hip with the dull metallic finish, either. Why didn\'t they chrome this guy up like what you\'d see in the movies? Sure it probably would\'ve ten bucks to this bad boy\'s overall retail price... but what\'s a sawbuck when it comes to upping the authenticity a notch?

On the upside, ol\' endo sports extensive articulation (poseability), complete with working pistons attached to just about every moving part. Sadly, many of these pistons inhibit full movement, especially the head, waist, and hips. Thanks to the latter limitation, you can forget about posing this guy in a non-standing position. But, now that I think about it, the big guy would look a bit silly sitting down or put in a walking stance, anyway.

Then there\'s the eyes that light up in red with the push of a button on the side of the head... a neat \"action feature\" that isn\'t quite as perfect as I\'d hoped it would be. For starters, my endo toy has a bit of a lazy eye: the left orb looks slightly upward as the right one looks straight out. Also, the light \"bleeds\" a little bit from the head\'s supposedly opaque areas, particularly around the eyes and cheeks. It\'s like the `droid is blushing when he\'s hitting you with his nightmarish red stare! On the upside: I kinda dig the light \"bleed-through\" around the mouth area when the `bot\'s jaw is open; it\'s like he\'s about to breath fire on ya!

Speaking of jaws: the one on my endo figure is skewed a bit to the right, rather than flush with the upper row of \"teeth.\" I figured this little imperfection wasn\'t characteristic of the entire run of NECA Endoskeleton figures... until I found a few of `em fresh in their boxes at a local B&M collectibles dealer. Sadly, all of the ones I saw had the same offset jaw. Another problem I encountered with the jaw is its inability to stay closed.

Finally, there\'s the phased-plasma-rifle-in-the-40-watt-range, complete with \"gun-holding hand\" that can be popped onto the figure\'s ball-jointed right wrist. The weapon is wonderfully sculpted, but the paint job on it could\'ve been a bit more extensive to help the finer sculpting details stand out better. Also, I was kinda hopin\' the ammo clip would be removable: no dice I\'m afear\'d. On the upside: at least the weapon is to scale with the figure, unlike the one that came with the McFarlane Toys Movie Maniacs release.

Speaking of accessories: I was hoping that this toy would come with an \"endoskeleton-arm-in-the-glass-tube\" accessory and a \"terminator-CPU-chip-in-the-glass-tube\" accessory, a la T2. I was also hoping the figure\'s head would feature an accessible CPU port complete with removable CPU chip accessory. Sadly, my hopes were dashed on all counts. Eh, mebbe NECA will get to these potential \"action\" features and accessories in a future release; one can only hope...

`Late
Looks Just Like In The Movie
The T2 Endoskeleton 18\'\' figure is very detailed, just like the Endoskeletons in the movie. What\'s even cool is that the eyes can light-up which gives it a even more look from the movie.

Fans of Terminator 2 or any other Terminator film would love this figure.
